Flair AI Radio Battle of the AI Bands Contest Rules and Terms
Official Contest Rules
No purchase Necessary. Void where prohibited by law.
1. Overview of the Contest
Flair AI Radio presents the Battle of the AI Bands, a contest to showcase AI-created music across four different genres. The contest features 64 songs divided into four genre brackets, with 16 songs competing in each genre. Participants will compete for recognition, cash prizes, and the title of Grand Prize Winner.
2. Eligibility
- This contest is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
- Participants must own 100% of the rights to their song, including any AI-generated components. Songs submitted without full ownership rights will be disqualified.
- Employees of Flair AI Radio, their families, and individuals directly involved in organizing the contest are not eligible to participate.
3. Song Submission
- Each participant may submit ONE song total to ONE of the four genre brackets:
o Rock and Alternative
o Country, Folk, Blues
o Rap, Dance, Funk and Pop
o ONLY Lyrics WRITTEN by the Human Contributor – NO AI (any genre)
- Submissions must include the following:
- The song in MP3 format
- Song title and genre
- Confirmation of full ownership rights to the submitted song
- Contact information for the participant
- Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by Feb 15 (though this may be edited as deemed necessary). Late submissions will not be accepted.
4. Selection of Bracket Finalists
- Flair AI Radio executives will review all submissions and select the top 16 songs for each genre bracket. The selection process will be based on originality, production quality, and overall appeal.
- The 16 chosen songs per bracket will advance to the public ranking phase.
5. Public Ranking Phase
- The 16 songs in each genre bracket will be presented on Flair AI Radio’s contest platform for a public ranking period lasting three (2) weeks.
- Listeners will rank songs using a slider from 1 to 10. Each listener may rank as many songs as they wish but can only rank each song once.
- The song in each genre bracket with the highest cumulative ranking score will be declared the bracket winner and receive a $75 prize.
6. Grand Prize Round
- The winning song from each genre bracket (4 total) will advance to the final round.
- The final four songs will compete head-to-head during a one-week public ranking period.
- The song with the highest cumulative ranking score in the final round will be declared the Grand Prize Winner and receive an additional $150 prize.
7. Prizes
- Bracket Winner Prizes: $75 for the top-ranked song in each genre bracket.
- Grand Prize: $150 awarded to the final round winner.
- All cash prizes will be awarded via electronic payment within 15 days of the contest’s conclusion.
8. Contest Timeline
- Submission Deadline: Assuming 2-3 weeks to fill brackets (around Feb 15th)
- Bracket Finalist Announcement: 2 weeks after final submission. (Feb 22th)
- Public Ranking Phase: 2 weeks (Mar 6)
- Grand Prize Round: 1 week (March 15)
- Grand Prize Winner Announcement: 1 week to follow. (March 24)
Terms and Conditions
1. Intellectual Property Rights
- By entering the contest, participants affirm that they own 100% of the rights to their submitted song, including any AI-generated elements, lyrics, melodies, or other components.
- Participants grant Flair AI Radio a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their submitted songs for the purposes of contest promotion, voting, and related marketing activities. Ownership of the song remains with the participant.
2. Disqualification
- Flair AI Radio reserves the right to disqualify any participant for submitting plagiarized content, false information, or failing to adhere to the contest rules.
- Songs containing offensive, hateful, or explicit content will not be considered.
3. Voting Integrity
- Participants and voters are prohibited from engaging in fraudulent activities, including vote manipulation or using automated systems to influence rankings. Flair AI Radio reserves the right to investigate and disqualify entries suspected of vote tampering.
4. Privacy
- Personal information provided during song submission will only be used for contest-related communication and prize distribution. Flair AI Radio will not share personal information with third parties without consent.
5. Limitation of Liability
- Flair AI Radio is not responsible for technical failures, submission errors, or other issues beyond its control that may affect participation in the contest.
- Participants agree to hold Flair AI Radio harmless from any claims or damages arising from their participation in the contest.
6. Modifications and Termination
- Flair AI Radio reserves the right to modify or terminate the contest at any time for any reason. Participants will be notified of significant changes via email or the contest platform.
7. Agreement to Rules
- By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by these official rules and terms. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
